This song was the last song written specifically for this album. I felt I needed a good "closer" to the cd, and I wanted a piano-centered track to act as a "bookend" opposite the opener, This Alchemy of Sound. The song came together in a few days, a shorter time than most of the other tracks. The song definitely needed more depth toward the end, and thus the rhythmic beat track was born. Being lazy by nature, the stutter edits that can be heard within the beat track (especially at the end) were created by bussing in a MARVELOUS plug-in effect that I must recommend to other electronic musicians: Buffer Override by DFX.
